Here is our Tudor street on fire, I'd love to take credit for it but I just thought of the street - the fire is all my daughter's idea!

Origami outside the box!
We bought this book of origami papers and made so many cut and stick pictures with it. Some of them even have origami as part of them!

Better than in the shops butterfly wings!
I admit this project is not so easy as most on my blog. You need a sewing machine, fabric, fabric paints and stiff wire to hold out the wings. But if you are a brave mummy here are our "better than in the shops" butterfly wings!

wiggly woggly butterfly picture.
Here is a very easy idea. You can make a 3D picture by cutting out shapes and sticking them up on paper zig zags. In our picture the butterflies and ladybird fly above the leaves!
I hope you like it. Best, Kirsteen

Artists call this great technique wax resist. You probably have all you need at home.
To do wax restst you need wax crayons and watercolour paints. Fortunately most kids crayons are wax crayons and most kids paints are watercolours!!
Its ridiculously easy. Draw with crayons and paint over, the wax keeps the water based paint off the drawing and you get lovely effects.
